Rowan is recovering slowly from her enucleation. The surgery was a success and the pathology report showed that her optic nerve was clear of any cancer cells! That is wonderful news considering the tumor encompassed 75% of her eye when she was first diagnosed (if it wasn't for Madeline, I don't think we would have gotten that great news!) Thank you all for being so supportive of us during this time and understanding that even if we don't have time to call and thank you all, you are not far from our thoughts.
Rowan still has two more rounds of chemotherapy left. She will be fit for her first prosthesis on January 6th. We are all looking forward to that day!
